Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR) is an independent, design-led creative agency founded in 1990 by Joe Jones, Andy Knowles, and Ian Ritchie in London. The trio sought to create a studio that would help brands be distinctive and true to themselves, a philosophy encapsulated in their guiding principle: “In a world where everyone else is taken, be yourself.” This approach has been central to their work, enabling brands to define and express their unique identities across various platforms.
Since its inception, JKR has partnered with a diverse range of clients, from global leaders like Unilever, AB InBev, and Kraft Heinz to disruptors such as Hippeas, Ugly Drinks, and The Gut Stuff. Their work spans brand identity, packaging, advertising, and creative production, consistently delivering high-quality, impactful designs. The agency's commitment to creativity and excellence has earned it numerous accolades, including recognition as the Most Awarded Design Group at D&AD and Studio of the Year at Dieline. In 2021, JKR was honored with a Gold Cannes Lion for its global rebrand of Burger King.
