Founded in 1888, the National Geographic Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to exploring, illuminating, and protecting the wonder of our world. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it has supported over 9,000 research grants and is renowned for its iconic magazine, educational programs, and immersive storytelling. Through its joint venture with The Walt Disney Company, National Geographic Partners, the Society reinvests 100% of philanthropic donations into mission-driven programs.
