We are looking for an experienced and skilled individual to take on the role of System Architect in the area of Power Distribution Architecture around AI data centers, including DC Micro Grid and Solid State Transformer (SST), who leads the technical aspects around these applications in our cross-functional and multi-site organization. In your new role you will:
- Take over responsibility of system architecture description and application requirements in the area of LVDC Power Distribution and MVAC Solid State Transformers
- Develop new system concepts based on value drivers for Infineon solution offering, incl. technical evaluation to support design-in activities of the Sales and Marketing organization
- Deliver definitions of system architecture and functional blocks from application use cases for product definition
- Contribute to technical content for application roadmap process (e.g. value driver, architecture, block diagram)
- Become the internal go-to-person and expert in the area of responsibility and be able to train colleagues and external partners on the topic
- Establish relationships with customers and their pre-development and act as a partner to support, identify, and define requirements and trends
- Engage with internal stakeholders to manage communication and data exchange on the topics of responsibility
- Dive deep and proactively analyze and solve problems of higher complexity using your global expert network
- Stay up to date and act on emerging trends and technologies
- Involved in funding and other cooperative external projects
As the ideal candidate, you have a strong entrepreneurial mindset and are excited about taking ownership to drive decisions while assessing potential risks. You contribute to the success of Infineon in the mentioned applications by identifying trends, developing new concepts, defining requirements and roadmaps together with the corresponding teams. Furthermore, you are able to quickly establish a fruitful cooperation with the various stakeholders in and outside the organization and contribute with your expertise and knowledge to the success of the company.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field
- At least 8 years of professional experience, focusing on the area of
- Power Conversion Applications 1 kV
- Ability to analyze and simulate concepts and solutions (PLECS, Simetrix, )
- Experience to design and validate proof of concept hardware in the lab
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and self-driven attitude to collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers
- Proven ability to communicate and present complex topics in a tangible way to technical audiences and management
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
- Strong English communication skills; German is a plus
