For our IC Design Centre, we are seeking a Senior Synthesis and STA Engineer that will report to our Physical Implementation Manager. The main responsibility for this position is the logical implementation and timing signoff of the digital logic in CMOS image sensors.
You will work with industry-standard EDA tools (DesignCompiler, Genus, PrimeTime, IC-Compiler, Fusion, Innovus, Prime Power, Formality LP) for logic synthesis, implementation, and STA verification.
You will work with cross-functional teams (logic design, DFT, product engineering, and functional safety teams, analog designer to define the analog constraints), and multi-cultural teams in both Europe and Japan.
At the stage of silicon validation and mass production, you will support the evaluation of the chip function and reliability.
You will:
- RTL Synthesis, with a focus on Area, Power and Performance (PPA).
- Collaboration with DFT engineer to close STA
- Clock (PLLs, clock trees, clock gating, asynchronous interfaces) & reset (start-up sequence, power islands) constraints definition and quality check
- Netlist quality check, formal & LP verification
- Specifying the design timing constraints (SDC) and give advice to the design team members to reach timing closure (STA).
- Continuously improving the design framework (scripts, automation) according to new tools and methodologies.
- Sharing information and best practices and participating in lessons learned sessions at the end of projects.
- Documentation, and QA reviews of the implementation
- DevOps
You will bring:
- PhD/MSc/BSc Electrical engineering or PhD/MSc/BSc Physics
- Academic Background: Technical, Electronics, Semiconductor, Physics
- Experience with Low power Synthesis and formal verification
- Experience with industry standard EDA tools for Synthesis, and STA verification (Design Compiler, PrimeTime, IC-Compiler, Fusion, Primepower, Formality LP)
- Knowledge about analogue, and digital timing interface
- English speaking and preferred additional languages such as Norwegian and Japanese
