For our IC Design Centre, we are seeking an Analogue Design Engineer who will implement analogue and mixed-signal circuit solutions by identifying project objectives and issues; researching analogue engineering techniques and approaches; and developing circuit, components and logic designs. The type of analogue circuits will include pixel array readout, amplifiers, and analogue/digital converters, signal processing blocks for noise reduction, temperature sensors, as well as I/O interfaces and low noise regulators for use in our Image Sensor products and similar speciality innovative products.
In addition, the Analogue Designer is encouraged to contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodology and circuit innovation; develop methodology and solutions for reliability and safety in automotive products; develop methods and verifying and validating design blocks and the full chip from a system perspective by simulations and tests.
Whilst the role has a strong requirement to follow ABD’s standard processes in Japan, it has the liberty to develop new technology assets and amend existing technology at the time of type development. New business models, R&D activities, investigation, technology analysis and benchmarking are empowered to this position, and ABD believes that such autonomous activities will help achieve the mutual goals; therefore encourages them.
You will:
- Handle analogue circuit implementation and verification.
- Handle analogue layout implementation and physical verification.
- Prepare documentation (specification, implementation descriptions, etc.).
- QA review of the design implementation and verification.
- Support the test and debug of fabricated parts
You will have:
- Education in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- Academic Background: Technical, Electronics, Semiconductor, Physics.
- Experience with analogue circuit implementation in industry or academia (CIS experience is preferred).
- Experience with full custom layout implementation and physical verification (DRC/LVS).
- Knowledge about digital circuits.
- English speaking and preferred additional languages such as Norwegian and Japanese.
- Experience in working with diverse and multi-functional, and remote teams.
