We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager to join our team here at Formula 1 based at our Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill on a hybrid basis. As IT Project Manager you will manage delivery of technology projects from initiation through to closure.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of assigned project(s) in line with the F1 Project Management Process Framework
- Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects across all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and manage expectations. Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Collaborate with external partners and service providers to ensure that project deliverables are met.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project progress and proactively address any issues that may arise to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
About you:
- Trained in Project Management Methodology (Agile, Prince2, PMP, APM, MSP or other)
- 3-5 years’ experience managing and delivering end to end IT projects, particularly software solutions
- Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
- Experience managing concurrent projects of varying scale and complexity
- Strong understanding of user needs and change management principles, with experience in driving adoption and engagement across diverse user groups
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle
- Experience in business analysis including requirements gathering, process mapping and translating business needs into technical specifications
- Experience of managing budgets and project forecasting
- Previous experience in IT software training or user enablement with ability to support onboarding and ensure successful solution adoption
- Strong stakeholder management and issue management skills
