THE POSITION
Reporting to the FIFA27 Accreditation Senior Manager / Project Lead, the Accreditation System & Applications Manager is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and operational management of the FIFA accreditation system and related applications for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™.
Working within FIFA accreditation frameworks and in close collaboration with FIFA Zurich Accreditation, Technology, Security, Client Group Management, and Accreditation Operations teams, the role ensures that accreditation systems are operationally ready, stable, and able to support all users and client groups.
The role focuses on system delivery, operational enablement, and issue resolution. It does not define accreditation policy or governance.
The Accreditation System and Applications Manager will be a key member of the FIFA27 Accreditation team, and work in close collaboration with the FIFA Zurich Accreditation department. This role will lead the implementation, configuration, and operational support of the accreditation system and related applications and ensures the system meets tournament requirements, supports all client groups, and aligns with FIFA’s global accreditation standards and data protection policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Implementation & Configuration
- Coordinate the setup, configuration, and testing of the accreditation system in cooperation with FIFA Zürich
- Ensure system readiness across all phases of the accreditation lifecycle, including registration, validation, approval, production, and distribution.
- Operational System Management
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the accreditation system throughout planning, test events, and tournament time.
- Monitor system performance, stability, and data flows and address operational issues.
- Act as the primary escalation point for accreditation system incidents, coordinating resolution with FIFA Zürich as required.
- Provide first-line technical support to accreditation users across venues and client groups.
- Background Check Integration
- Represent the FIFA27 Accreditation department in the Background Check Working Groups.
- Ensure effective integration into the tournament planning and delivery, as well as successful management of the overall Background Check process.
- Coordinate the background check process integration within the accreditation system.
- Lead the background check process for the FIFA Women´s World Cup 2027 and any ancillary events where applicable.
- Data Management & Compliance
- Ensure accurate data processing, validation, and integrity within the accreditation system.
- Oversee data flow, validation rules, and access rights logic within the system.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and FIFA information security requirements.
- User Support & Training
- Coordinate the delivery of system training for accreditation system users, including Client Group teams, Operations teams, and venue teams.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for system users.
- Maintain up-to-date user manuals, process documentation, and FAQs.
- Support users in resolving operational system questions and issues.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination & Integrations
- Coordinate with Accreditation Operations, Client Group Management, Security, and Technology teams to ensure that Systems team effectively support operational needs.
- Support system integrations with other tournament platforms (e.g. workforce,volunteers, media).
- Participate in system testing, readiness exercises, and operational rehearsals.
- Event-Time Support & Reporting
- Lead accreditation system operations during the tournament, including real-time monitoring and issue resolution.
- Provide system‑related updates and operational reporting to the Accreditation Senior Manager
- Support post‑event reporting, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate with venue teams to ensure smooth badge production.
YOUR PROFILE
Education & Experience
- University degree in Information Systems, Event Technology, or related field.
- Strong experience in accreditation systems or event technology at major international events.
- Strong understanding of access control, data workflows, and system integration.
- Experience working with accreditation platforms (e.g., Event-Works, FAME, Accredit, or similar).
- Familiarity with GDPR and data privacy best practices.
