Who are we?
Ashoka is the world's leading network of social entrepreneurs. Our NGO selects and supports social entrepreneurs with the greatest potential to generate systemic impact in over 90 countries.
Beyond growing their organizations, the social entrepreneurs Ashoka supports seek to profoundly transform sectors of public interest by changing mindsets, market logic, standards, and laws. They co-develop their solutions with their beneficiaries, expand their model, or seek to have their solution adopted by public authorities. Whatever their impact model, they aim for large-scale change.
The founders of makesense, Simplon, Unis-cité, Ticket for Change, and Enercoop are Ashoka Fellows. Whether they seek to repair the flaws in our healthcare or solidarity systems, or to accelerate the ecological, educational, or social transition, they share the conviction that we are all part of the solution, regardless of our place in society.
