In our customs team you support our experts in the global implementation of increasingly complex trade restrictions with a focus on EMEA chemical trade compliance in the EMEA region.
- You collaborate with the relevant specialist unit to set up services that effectively address trade compliance process for BASF.
- A key focus of your role is implementing the legal requirements within BASF's operational processes.
- By working closely with BASF's group companies, you ensure seamless business processes related to permit applications, authority reporting, and compliance with import and export in daily operations.
- You are also responsible for overseeing EMEA Trade Compliance operations, including managing permit applications and handling license administration.
- Additionally, you manage the Trade Compliance risk profile for goods exchange processes and communicate the impact of Trade Compliance to service recipients effectively.
- You establish appropriate measures, tools and processes to manage these risks in accordance with BASF's standards and relevant regulations, while also providing support for change management and audit activities.
WHAT YOU OFFER - Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences or Customs and Foreign Trade
- at least 3 years of trade compliance or regulatory experience
- professional experience in at least three of the following areas is required: dual-use technology, technology transfer, foreign trade laws, chemical conventions, supply chain management, embargo compliance and extraterritorial trade compliance
- familiar with standard IT applications and a sound knowledge of SAP R/3 and SAP S/4 HANA
- convincing communication skills as well as reliable German and fluent English skills
- solid understanding of technical regulatory processes
