In collaboration with, and under the line management of the Head of Sub-delegation and the technical supervision of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) delegate, the Psychologist contributes to developing, organizing, implementing, and monitoring Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities, according to ICRC MHPSS program reference and the objectives set out in the delegation's annual planning (PfR) for Aljunaina (ALJ) area of responsibility (AoR) and other ICRC accessible areas as deemed necessary. Based on the skills required for this position, s/he has the capacity to oversee programs at community level and in healthcare facilities, including MHPSS services for hospitalized weapon wounded and people with physical disabilities. S/he provides capacity building of MHPSS practitioners and healthcare workers, by training and coaching them to offer direct support to people affected by armed conflict, other situations of violence and emergencies, ensuring the continuum of care.
