As part of the Sustainability team, you will play a key role in delivering an ambitious Net Zero 2040 roadmap and accelerating the transition to low-carbon and renewable molecules across an international asset network.
Working within a lean central team, you translate strategy into measurable impact. You lead performance tracking, support operational sites without direct authority, and turn complex sustainability data into actionable insights. You act as an internal subject matter expert on GHG emissions, sustainable products, and sustainability reporting, collaborating closely with central functions and local stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Support the further development of the sustainability framework, including targets, KPIs, and CSRD implementation
Drive emissions reduction and the adoption of sustainable products at operational sites through data-driven insights, strong business cases, and stakeholder engagement
Coordinate and track the implementation of sustainability initiatives and roadmap actions
Monitor market developments, regulatory trends, and evolving stakeholder expectations
Monitor and improve sustainability performance
Support the definition of KPIs and reporting frameworks
Analyze and track performance against internal targets and external benchmarks
Deliver clear and structured sustainability performance reports
Track and forecast GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) in line with long-term targets; identify gaps and improvement opportunities
Contribute to sustainability ratings, certifications, and external disclosures
Develop analytical frameworks to support the growth of low-carbon products (e.g. hydrogen, biofuels, CO₂-related value chains)
Provide both quantitative and qualitative input for internal and external communications, including annual sustainability reporting
Relevant HBO/ university degree
5–8 years of relevant experience in sustainability, energy transition, or a quantitative strategy/operations role
Experience within industrial, infrastructure, or energy-related environments is a plus
Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, trends, and reporting standards
Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability programs and reporting processes
Strong analytical mindset - you prioritize data and modelling over presentation; advanced Excel skills required (scenario modelling, reporting), Power BI is a plus
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without formal authority
Comfortable working in a lean, high-autonomy environment
Fluent in English
Approximately 10% travel required
