The role:
Rabobank’s Global Service Centre Financial Markets Services Asia Pacific Hub, located in Sydney, is a critical team within the Global Service Centre (GSC) organisation. The hub provides comprehensive Operational support to the Asia Pacific-based Markets & Treasury businesses, encompassing Trading, Funding, & Corporate Sales products. Additionally, it offers direct client support to Rabobank’s Rural, Corporate, & Financial Institution clients, ensuring seamless & reliable service delivery to the region.
We currently have an opening for an Financial Markets Services Officer, Asia Pacific to be based in Sydney.
Top Role Accountabilities:
Provide a high quality of internal & external client service, developing solid relationships with Markets & Treasury, external clients & stakeholders
Deliver a high standard of accuracy, completeness & reliability with end-to-end transaction processes in relation to the lifecycle of a broad range of Financial Markets products
Timely & accurate settlement (cash, custody & clearing) within payments systems & market infrastructure
Dispatch, Match, Chase & Escalate confirmations & market instructions to meet regulatory timelines
Investigate, resolve & escalate reconciliation breaks with regards to transactions, systems, data, cash & securities
Prepare daily & periodic reports to be submitted to internal stakeholders
Management of Through Put Ratio, intraday liquidity, cash reporting & funding across all Asia Pacific external & internal accounts and head office accounts for Asia Pacific currencies, including use of Repurchase Agreements to meet obligations
Prepare & submit transactional & consolidated regulatory reporting to various regulatory bodies across the globe & within the region
Participate in the development & review of process & procedures documentation
Participate in cross-training sessions to enhance skills & knowledge
To be successful, you will have:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Treasury / Markets Operations & liquidity management role with experience in payments, settlements, confirmations, reporting & reconciliations
Knowledge of financial market instruments & products including, Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Fixed Income, Commodities, Interest Rate Derivatives, Options & Futures
Knowledge of settlements & payments systems such as Murex, Calypso, SWIFT, Exigo, RITS, eMBT, CMU & Euroclear
Good knowledge of SWIFT payment messaging such as MT103 / 202 & pacs.008 / pas.009
An ability to plan & prioritise to meet strict deadlines
Excellent attention to detail & an ability to work to a high level of accuracy
An ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders & clients / relationship management
Previous experience supporting countries within Asia Pacific preferable
Mandarin or Cantonese language skills highly regarded
Note: Role will be on Sydney business hours, but should have the willingness to work irregular hours and public holidays to support the APAC region, when required.
