Position: Class 1 Driver

Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Start times between 04:00-06:00am

We're now looking for a Class 1 Driver play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

Provision of first class safe, efficient and customer focused delivery and collection services with DHL's customers and Networks
Comply with issued start times in line with contractual requirements
Conduct collections and deliveries in accordance with the plan and/or instructions from the transport office
Conduct collections and deliveries within the timeframes outlined
Ensure all delivery documentation and electronic POD's are completed accurately and in real time during a working shift
Ensure a thorough working knowledge of the regulations under which they operate and in particular the Highway Code & Road Traffic Act 1988, and Road Safety Act 2006
Operate in line with all legal requirements and ensure full compliance with tachograph and working time legislation
Ensure the correct and appropriate load security is in place before moving any goods in a vehicle or trailer

✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card is essential
Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience
Happy to conduct travel UK wide
Excellent communications skills - Verbal and written
Working understanding of legal requirements, highway code and road traffic act
Excellent time management skills
Experience of securing loads within vehicles and/or trailers
Good geographical knowledge
Ability to follow operational, legal and H&S procedures
