Accountant Job ID: 95585 We are seeking an experienced accountant with a technical background in Dutch fiscal accounting to manage and oversee fiscal accounting tasks within the firm, ensuring compliance with Netherlands tax regulations.

Your ImpactYou will Prepare, review and ensure accurate and timely filing of tax-related documents, prepare year-end audit schedules, gather data as required, and complete ad-hoc tasks, Interact with the external and internal auditors, as well as global Corporate Tax Team, identify, analyze and report benefit in kind transactions and liaise with external VAT advisors to reclaim indirect foreign tax from purchase invoices.
You will prepare transactions for payroll input from various internal and external sources, assist in preparing monthly payroll and be back-up for the payroll accountant, analyze payroll output for accuracy and completeness and balance sheet reconciliations for payroll accounts and actions to resolve open items.
You will review balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and completeness and coordinate and collaborate with global accounting team on items requiring action within the appropriate time frame, prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with published deadlines, assist in the month end close process, including review of the monthly results and accuracy of entries processed, prepare accounting entries, calculate and record monthly accrual of expenses.
You will ensure accurate general ledger and project code usage of purchase invoices, utilize MS Excel and other analytical tools for financial analysis and reporting and develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
You will liaise with tax authorities and handle queries/disputes, work closely with external auditors and counsels for tax-related matters to ensure compliance with regulations, collaborate with cross-functional teams and peers in the region, respond to internal and external queries and ad hoc requests and collaborate with respective global centers as required.
You will support the team by improving accounting, financial, and reporting processes, manage cash flow, maintain and report banking files and maintain strict working capital control, especially for account receivables and inventory.
You will work in our Amsterdam office as part of our Finance team.
You will provide general accounting support to the office, ensuring quality of data and compliance with Dutch legislation and Local and Firm Accounting policies.

Your qualifications and skills- University degree and academic record required in fiscal accounting and/or tax; advanced degree
- 3+ years finance exp., ideally in a professional service environment
- Strong MS Office skills (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint and Word); Knowledge of AFAS and SAP desirable
- Broad Finance and Accounting, deeper knowledge of Dutch tax and fiscal regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively-both verbally and in writing
- Proficient knowledge of Dutch and English
