We are looking for a Credit Controller, in this role you ensure that customers pay on time, monitor and analyze customer behavior and take appropriate actions with the aim to minimize Bugaboo’s financial risk. You act within the boundaries as set by local rules and legislation, audit guidelines, inco. terms and Bugaboo audit guidelines.
What will you do
Process customer deposits and credit card transactions accurately and reconcile incoming payments.
Investigate and resolve short, unmatched, or missing payments, including chargebacks and deductions.
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints related to payments, account balances, and payment discrepancies.
Monitor Accounts Receivable (A/R) ageing, overdue balances, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) in line with credit insurance policies.
Follow up on overdue accounts and assign receivables to third-party collection agencies when required.
Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to resolve outstanding invoice issues and improve payment collection.
Monitor and analyze customer payment behavior to identify trends and potential credit risks.
Review, propose, and maintain insured credit limits, and manage order blocks based on credit risk assessments.
Reconcile A/R sub-ledgers with the general ledger to ensure financial accuracy.
Prepare credit control reports and support continuous improvement projects within the Finance team.
Set up and maintain customer master data in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
Conduct proactive and reactive fraud analysis, including identifying irregular orders, reviewing high-risk transactions, and managing chargebacks.
