Tony’s is an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. And to drive that mission forward, our Sales team plays a key role in making sure Tony's bars are perfectly placed on every shelf in the Netherlands.
From supermarket visits to retailer pitches and promo execution, our Sales team is where the mission meets the shop floor. And that's where you come in.
We're looking for a Sales Intern Retail (Dutch speaking) to join our NL Sales team in Amsterdam. If you're excited about getting out of the office, visiting stores, diving into data, and learning how an FMCG brand wins at retail, this is your backstage pass.
Here's what you'll learn:
- Storytelling and sales pitch. Learn how to explain Tony's mission and products during store conversations and support the sales team by helping prepare pitch materials and talking points.
- Data analysis & commercial insights. Learn to work with store data by helping with tasks like checking stock levels, updating Excel overviews, collecting shelf photos, and supporting the team with basic analyses.
- Customer communications. Support the team by preparing and sending product updates, promo overviews, and merchandising instructions to stores, ensuring information is correct and aligned with what the team needs.
- Stakeholder management. Assist internal teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) by gathering information, following up on tasks, and helping coordinate cross-team requests related to store execution.
- New business development & field execution. Spend about 50% of your time visiting stores to take photos, check shelf placement, report issues, upload findings into tools/systems, and share improvement opportunities with the team.
Here's what you'll do:
This is a hands-on, get-out-there kind of internship. Expect to split your time between the office and the shop floor. Here's what's on the table:
- Store Visits: Join the sales team during supermarket visits to check our products on shelf, take photos, note opportunities to improve visibility, and say hello to store staff.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Help gather store information such as stock levels, promo materials on shelf, and shelf placement. Learn to update Excel files and share short summaries of your findings.
- Product Data Management: Help upload product details and packshots into systems like GS1 and Brandbank. Check if information is complete and flag anything missing.
- Presentation & Promo Support: Help prepare presentations and promo materials by collecting images, updating text, and organizing content for retailer meetings.
- Retailer Support: Organize samples, gather product information from internal teams, help put together retailer presentations, and check that products appear correctly online.
Job requirements
Job requirements:
- You're studying any relevant field: Consumer Studies, Business, Marketing, Data, or similar.
- Dutch language skills are mandatory for this role, as you'll be visiting Dutch retail stores and communicating with store staff and retail partners.

Here are the hard facts:
- Starting on 1 February 2027, you'll be part of our Tony's team for 6 months.
- We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other in our Amsterdam office on average 3 days a week. More is fine!
- You'll be living in the Netherlands and enrolled in a school for the duration of the internship.

- You'll have 14 vacation days over the six-month period, and we'll provide you with a monthly €550 internship allowance for a full-time (40h) internship.
