We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Product Owner to lead two teams within our Sales and Marketing Value Stream.
Meet the Teams
Your role will involve leading two teams:
- Team One: Comprising 5 developers, this team builds data products on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that deliver actionable insights to drive data-driven decision-making across Sales, Marketing, and related domains.
- Team Two: Focused on a strategic program for our digital department, this team works on a headless architecture for our website, creating scalable APIs, data pipelines, and analytics frameworks to deliver dynamic content and insights.
You will work closely with a Solution Architect and Senior Data Analyst who will be shared across both teams.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Product Owner, your responsibilities will focus on driving innovation, aligning strategies, and leading teams to success. These include:
- Own the Product Vision, Roadmap & Backlog: Define the strategic direction for your teams, ensuring alignment with the overall data strategy.
- Evolving the Teams in Agile Practices: Guide the teams in improving their agile practices to drive greater efficiency and success.
- Champion Data Governance: Advocate for secure, compliant, and high-quality data throughout the development process.
- Empower & Mentor: Help team members grow their skills and reach their full potential.
- Master of Many: Manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

We’re looking for someone with the right blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen to excel in this role. The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner in data-driven environments, preferably in retail.
- Proven experience leading multiple teams within an Agile framework.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and best practices in data management.
- Knowledge of data warehousing principles and data modeling concepts.
- Strong preference for experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery.
- Specific experience in Sales & Marketing is highly desirable.
Location and Working Conditions
While flexible working is available, this role requires a strong on-site presence to engage with stakeholders and build connections effectively.
