Tony's Chocolonely is committed to ending the exploitation of cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. With incredibly delicious chocolate, we set a good example and show that making chocolate can be done differently. And we don't do it alone! Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), we help mission partners such as Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade and Aldi to make their chain fairer and more transparent.
We are looking for an E-commerce Sales intern to join our team in Amsterdam! This internship is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in e-commerce and sales, while contributing to a world without cocoa inequality.
This is what you will learn:
- You will gain experience in e-commerce and learn how to get the most out of our own and other sales channels together with three team members.
- You will gain insight into which elements are important for a brand to be successful in an online environment
- Learn to collaborate with online resellers and work on joint growth plans for key chocolate moments such as Saint Nicholas and Christmas.
- Learn from all aspects of e-commerce and collaborate with our global team
This is what you will do:
- Support the team with launches for example new products or the preparation of seasonal moments. Think of collecting the right data and insights, making a convincing presentation, thinking strategically about the best online visibility and sending samples & packshots
- Support team members in analyzing sales data in order to improve results in a targeted manner
- Participate in marketing and sales activities, for example by putting the right product content live, being part of personalized B2B campaigns and closing commercial deals with customers
- Improve the customer journey on our new chocolate shop (in Shopify) and help execute retention campaigns for our existing customers.
- Work closely with our chocofancare team (customer service) to ensure that all communication surrounding all orders runs smoothly and we can help customers where needed (B2B and B2C).
Job requirements
- You are studying a relevant course at a university or college and would like to gain experience in a real working environment with a sales and e-commerce focus.
- The Dutch language holds no surprises for you.
- You are looking for a challenge and want to use your qualities for a fairer cocoa industry. You believe in our mission.
- And... you can identify with our core values: outspoken, unconventional, enterprising and 'to make you happy'.
So that means:
- From September 1st you will be part of our Tony's team for 5-6 months.
- For us it's about being more in person than online; this means we are flexible, but we see each other on average 3-4 days a week at our office in Amsterdam. More is of course also fine (lunch is worth it)!
- You live in the Netherlands and are enrolled in a school for the entire internship period.

- You will have 14 days of vacation during the six-month period and we will give you a monthly internship allowance of €550 for a full-time (40 hours) internship.
- Our office in Amsterdam Houthavens is a great place to work - you will enjoy a fresh and tasty lunch and plenty of snacks. We know how to work hard, but we also know how to have fun. And of course you can take home as much chocolate as you can carry.
