The E-Commerce department is part of the Group Commerce and is involved in the online sale of our assortment in the museum shop and thus contributes sustainably to the museum's income. We believe that commerce is a means, not an end in itself.
Our webshop offers a wide range of unique items that reflect the richness of the works of Vincent van Gogh and his contemporaries. We are immediately looking for a driven E-commerce Manager who will lead the compact, dynamic and friendly team.
What are you going to do?
As Manager E-commerce you are responsible for shaping and executing the E-commerce strategy. You lead the E-com team that currently consists of a Customer Care employee, who handles customer questions and complaints, and an E-commerce Marketeer, who is responsible for the appearance of the webshop, the product presentation and the campaigns.
You are responsible for the annual budgeting, achieving our sales results and monitoring a consistent brand experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the E-commerce strategy that aligns with the museum's mission and commercial goals, including the sustainability pillar.
- Leading the E-commerce team, where you are directly involved in operational matters.
- Preparation of annual budgets and financial & E-com planning.
- Determining the layout and appearance of the webshop.
- Achieving budgeted sales results and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create effective marketing campaigns and ensure brand awareness.
- Work closely with Buying & Merchandising to offer the right range in the webshop.
- Improving e-commerce processes and smooth omnichannel customer journeys to optimize conversion.
- Analyzing webshop statistics and visitor behavior to improve performance.
- Make suggestions for optimization based on available performance data.
- Collaborate with external partners to realize the renewal of the web shops in 2025.
- Integration of the B2B and B2C webshop.
Who are you?
- A strategic thinker with a passion for E-commerce. You have at least 5 years of relevant commercial experience in E-commerce.
- You are able to lead and motivate and coach a team in customer-oriented and results-oriented work.
- You balance strategic vision and practical implementation, with attention to sustainability as part of the museum strategy.
- You have analytical skills and are results-oriented, looking for new opportunities and being creative with the resources you have.
- You have good communication skills and are able to maintain effective collaborations with internal teams and external partners.
- You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.

The Museum CAO applies. This role falls in scale 12. The full-time salary (36 hours) is between 4,379 and 6,056 euros gross per month based on education and experience. Furthermore, you will receive from us, among other things:
