Job description
Why we are here
Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.
Now we are on the hunt for our new Recruitment and Employer Brand Intern to join our People & Culture team in Amsterdam! This internship offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on hiring experience in a team that champions unbiased hiring practices, quality of hire and is all about creating standout candidate experiences.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- Recruitment and selection. You will learn the steps of an end-to-end unbiased recruitment process, including participation in strategy meetings, CV screening, structured interviewing and assessment, and offer and contract creation stages.
- Job marketing and sourcing. You will learn how to write inclusive and compelling job ads, advertise in relevant platforms and channels, and use sourcing to proactively reach specific talent.
- Data and metrics. You will get familiar with recruitment metrics, how to analyze data, and how to draw insights for continuous improvement.
- Employer branding. You will learn the meaning of internal and external employer brand, why it matters, and how to create authentic stories that reflect our company values and purpose.
- Project management. You will learn and contribute to a small improvement project end-to-end with coaching and support from your manager, including planning, stakeholder mapping, and roll-out.
- Stakeholder management. You will get to practice how to communicate updates and manage expectations of hiring managers and panels throughout the hiring process.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Run our internship recruitment and selection process for spring 2027, including planning, advertising, selecting and supporting hiring managers in hiring interns based in the Netherlands.
- Identify opportunities to increase diversity and inclusion in our internship hiring process.
- Support the talent acquisition team with writing job ads, CV screening, scheduling interviews and talent mapping to identify and hire top, diverse talent.
- With support of and coaching from your supervisor, coordinate end-to-end hiring process for a junior role. This includes conducting recruiter interviews, assessing company and role fit, and coordinating offer negotiations.
- Support in creation of employer branding and recruitment marketing content, such as updating career sites, LinkedIn pages, internal career spotlights and external social media posts.
Job requirements
- You’re studying for an HBO/university degree in a relevant field (such as business, social sciences, psychology or human resource management) and are looking to gain practical experience in a high paced, FMCG scale-up business.
- You have the ambition to grow a career within talent acquisition.
- Raising the bar: Challenge yourself and team Tony’s to increase our ambition and to accomplish our mission. Make mistakes along the way and learn from them.
- You live our core values and believe wholeheartedly in Tony’s mission.
Here are the hard facts:
- Starting on September 1, you'll be part of our Tony's talent acquisition team for 6 months.
- We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other in our Amsterdam office on average 3 days a week. More is fine too!
- You're comfortable working in English as a member of our international Tony's team.
- You’ll be living in the Netherlands and enrolled in a HBO/university for the duration of the internship.
Here's what you can expect from us:
- You'll be part of an enthusiastic team of driven colleagues who share your love for Tony's and our commitment of ending exploitation in cocoa. We're a fast-growing international company, and we believe in doing things differently.
- As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of Tony's Chocolonely. You'll be challenged to raise the bar and make a real impact in the world.
- You'll have 14 vacation days over the six-month period, and we'll provide you with a monthly €550 internship allowance for a full-time (40 h/week) internship.
- Our office in Amsterdam Houthavens is a pretty sweet workplace - you'll enjoy a fresh and tasty lunch, and plenty of snacks. We know how to work hard, but we also know how to have fun. And of course, you get to take home as much chocolate as you can carry.
Sounds like you?
If you're ready to take the chocolate industry to new heights with us, we'd love to hear from you!
At Tony's we are convinced that diversity of thought, background and perspectives will make us stronger (...just like the different flavors of our chocolate assortment). Our mission is founded on principles of equity and justice, and we are actively seeking candidates who bring new perspectives and life experiences, especially from underrepresented groups. We look forward to your application!
