JKR Interface: UX/UI Design Internship (London, Summer)
10 weeks. Paid. Our first ever.
Calling all digital thinkers, pixel polishers, and curious makers.
Next summer, JKR is launching our first-ever UX/UI Design Internship within the Interface team, and we’re looking for someone who wants to learn fast, make real work, and help bring brands to life digitally.
This is a 10-week paid internship, based primarily in our London (Shoreditch) studio.
You’ll be in 4 days a week, with 1 day remote, so we’re ideally looking for someone who can travel in easily.
It’s best suited to second- or final-year students (or anyone with a similar level of experience) who wants hands-on studio time and a proper taste of how digital design works in a brand world.
What you’ll do
- Support the Interface team on real client projects
- Help design digital brand experiences across web, UI, motion, and systems
- Explore, test, refine, and present ideas
- Learn how JKR builds brands in digital spaces, from concept to craft
What we’re looking for
Not the finished article. Not the “perfect” portfolio.
We want someone who’s:
- Curious about UX/UI and digital brand expression
- Thoughtful in how they approach design problems
- Excited to collaborate, learn, and get stuck in
- Keen to build craft and confidence in a studio environment
10 week internship
Paid at London living wage.
Start early June 2026
Based at JKR Studios, Shoreditch, London
5 days pw commitment, hybrid 4 onsite per week.
How to apply, follow the links below where we will be looking for you to send us your portfolio (a link is perfect) featuring three UX/UI or design projects that best show your skills and thinking.
Then respond to these three prompts in whatever format your prefer: words, video, art...
1. Tell us about yourself and why you’re interested in this internship.
Brief intro, and what draws you to UX/UI and to JKR.
2. What brands do you admire and why?
We want to understand how you think about brand expression and digital experiences.
3. What projects out in the world do you wish you could say you’d worked on?
This gives us a glimpse of your taste, ambition, and what inspires you.
Ready to spend the summer designing, learning, and building? We’d love to see what you’ve got.
